What are you gonna do with your corpse?

In Episode 2, Eric, Sutton, and good friend Solina learn that the way in which we dispose of our bodies after we die can actually be one of the most toxic things we do.

We’re all going to die. Everyone knows it, but not everyone thinks about what will happen to their body once they go. Turns out, how we dispose of our corpses can be one of the most toxic things we do (each year, American funerals put over 90,000 tons of steel, 1.6 million tons of concrete, 800,000 gallons of embalming fluid, and 30 million board feet of casket wood into the ground). Yikes!!

Luckily, there are people thinking about this and working to ensure we all can opt for a greener way to go. One of these green burial enthusiasts, Professor Jane-Marie Law, was nice enough to invite Sutton and Solina up to her cabin in New York and give them the lay of the (green burial) land and help us understand the alternatives.
