How far would you go to save a wolf?

In Episode 1, new state legislation in Idaho causes Eric and Sutton to travel hundreds of miles to help save their favorite animal: wolves. Outside of Ketchum, Idaho, there’s a collaborative of community members, livestock producers, wildlife NGOs, county, state, and federal agencies working together to use proactive, nonlethal deterrents to minimize conflicts between livestock and wolves. They are known as the Wood River Wolf Project (WRWP).

In early September of 2021, Eric and Sutton were fortunate enough to meet with the WRWP to document their work and learn about the program’s impact. In May of 2021, the state of Idaho passed a bill to take the wolf population down by 90% of what it is now (crazy!), which makes their work more impactful than ever.
